Day 1: Arrive in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania. On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet a tour representative and transfer to the hotel in Arusha for check-in. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Four Points by Sheraton Arusha is a historic hotel set within landscaped gardens in central Arusha. Dating to 1894, the property combines its long-established character with contemporary accommodation. Facilities include a restaurant and bar, outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre, providing a comfortable base before or after a northern Tanzania safari.

After breakfast, depart Arusha and travel to Tarangire National Park, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch.

Later, depart on an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is known for its large elephant population, distinctive baobab trees and varied landscapes. The Tarangire River provides an important year-round water source, attracting wildlife from across the surrounding ecosystem during the drier months.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge is set within the landscapes of Tarangire National Park, surrounded by baobab trees and open savannah. Elevated tented suites feature private verandas and ensuite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers. After breakfast, depart Tarangire and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, visit a local Maasai village for an introduction to Maasai culture and traditions. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Continue into the Serengeti and arrive at the camp for lunch. Later, depart on an afternoon game drive until sunset. The Serengeti's expansive plains support an exceptional diversity of wildlife and form part of the ecosystem associated with the annual Great Migration.

Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
