The Lefay SPA Scientific Committee presents the Genius bio resonance program, a revolutionary healing journey designed to measure the human biofield in terms of frequencies.

This innovative application records the guest’s voice, analyzing the vocal waves and the frequency spectrum: through voice analysis, Genius detects possible physical and mental imbalances, working directly on the biofield itself.

Scientific research suggests that electromagnetic fields and light contribute to regulating the human body’s molecular, chemical and psychological processes. These theories are in harmony with ancient Chinese, Ayurvedic and shamanic medicine, which are based on the body’s innate intelligence — frequencies and vibrations that can be identified through the human voice. Genius is a bio resonance program that generates personalized multi-vibrational rebalancing frequencies. After an initial consultation with a specialized therapist, the Guest’s profile is created, with an analysis of their voice and image. THE PAPER MILL VALLEY: THE BEAUTY OF A STORY THAT REPEATS ITSELF

Just like its coast, the hinterland of Lake Garda has many hidden gems. The Paper Mill Valley (Valle delle Cartiere in Italian), which can be accessed from Toscolano, is a magical place where you can find biodiversity, lush vegetation and refreshing coolness, as well as evidence of industrial archaeology.

In fact, paper had already been made in the Valle delle Cartiere in Toscolano since 1381 (hence the name). Paper was invented in China around 2000 BC. and arrived in Italy in 1100, but its use was initially banned. The new sheets, compared to the parchment used until then, could be easily destroyed and, furthermore, carried no indication of origin. After the invention of the watermark to identify the origin of the sheets- by 1230, Fabriano saw the territory saturated with paper mills. The power of paper quickly became clear.

Later, during the era of the maritime republics, Venice became one of the main trade hubs, as well as a publishing center in Europe. Papermakers moved northwards, facing several challenges: dirtier water, harsher climates. And then the Garda area was discovered: thanks to its Mediterranean microclimate, a year-round paper production was feasible. Soon, Toscolano reached 52 paper mills, all supplying paper to Venice.

In more recent times, certain factors turned paper making in Toscolano into an increasingly impractical business, particularly due to the fact that it was very difficult to reach the valley. The Valle delle Cartiere fell into a state of abandonment and entered a period of decline. The recovery process began in 2008: an Eco museum and a route through relics of industrial archaeology were created.

«I felt it was right to return to making handmade paper, to revive ancient crafts», says Filippo Cantoni, founder of Toscolano Paper, who since 2012 has committed himself to bringing back this historic activity, just like in the old days. He purchases old printing machines, learns from elderly papermakers (his grandfather had also worked in a paper mill). Today, he makes extremely fine, high-quality material for renowned brands that wish to make paper a reflection of their philosophy: events, weddings and, above all, menus for gourmet restaurants, including 'Gramen', the restaurant at Lefay Resort & SPA Lago di Garda, where we rediscover our connection with Earth.

For 2025, Lefay SPA medical experts have composed a new piece of music exclusively for Lefay SPA.

Bio resonance and Classical Chinese Medicine share some similarities in their holistic approach to wellbeing: both focus on the integration of body, mind and spirit and the importance of energy balance. According to bio resonance, the discipline on which the principles of vibrational music are based, each cell in our body emits specific electro-magnetic frequencies. Nowadays new bio-engineering technologies, combined with quantum physics, allow us to measure the frequencies of our organs and our emotions. Music and frequencies combined can rebalance and harmonize the biophysical body.

For 2025, Lefay SPA medical experts, in collaboration with a team of specialists, have composed a new piece of music exclusively for Lefay SPA, using hertz multiples of 8 (the frequency of the earth). Music and frequencies, when properly mixed, can rebalance and harmonize the biophysical body, with a concrete effect on the brain and heart, modifying feelings and activating the production of endorphins, thus improving mood. Thanks to the music composed by a team of specialists, the therapist will lead the guest into a state of pure sensory perception. Specifically, three new music channels are being used at Lefay SPA:

To observe not passively, but as an explorer, abandoning the concept of warrior and control over things, will bring a sense of renewal and confidence. Being filled with thoughts leaves no room to embrace new things and creates a blockage, the stagnation of our vital energy, ’Qi’.

Classical Chinese Medicine uses the term ‘Ming’ (meaning destiny or a spiritual mandate from heaven), which means being able to fully express your personality. Our first priority is to implement measures that reduce food waste. This enables us to save valuable resources such as land, water and energy. The respect for the value of social and environmental sustainability is also reflected in the Resorts’ procurement policy, which selects suppliers with qualifications, certifications, or references in eco-friendly projects, as well as with local headquarters to give priority to 0-km products, thereby reducing the impact of transport emissions and promoting regional development (turnover benefiting local suppliers, i.e. in the areas surrounding the Resorts, represents 66% of the total).

The recipes in all our restaurants are based on respect for the seasonal cycle and the health aspects of food, with a focus on the Mediterranean diet, in which extra virgin olive oil is the protagonist.

A commitment that is expressed in different ways in each of the Resort’s restaurants: in particular, the gourmet offerings are designed with a strong sustainable identity. The “Grual” restaurant in Pinzolo offers a menu that celebrates the excellence of the Trentino region, while “Gramen” located on Lake Garda serves fish and vegetable dishes without meat. Finally, the Lefay SPA menu is free of gluten and dairy products and uses prebiotic ingredients.
